Titus Erker

Lead Economist, ADIA

Titus is a finance and energy economics professional with commercial experience in downstream oil & gas sector – in particular in Strategy, M&A, downstream business development, and financial reporting and performance management.

He is currently part of the Strategy and Planning Team at Abu Dhabi’s largest sovereign wealth fund – ADIA – where he is closely involved in the ADIA-wide strategic planning review and portfolio set-up, putting in place structures and processes focussed on cross-asset coordination. He joined ADIA in 2015, to assist with setting up the fund’s first Global Research team.

Prior to this he was with BP for 10 years, where he started at BP’s London Headquarters in 2006 as a macroeconomist and then oil demand analyst, before moving to South Africa in 2009 to work on various M&A transactions for BP, culminating in the sale of BP’s downstream

operations in 5 Sub-Saharan countries. Later he took over responsibility for planning, performance management and financial reporting for BP’s Southern African downstream business, before returning to London in 2013 to support BP’s Organisational Development department covering the EMEA region.

Tit started his career in consulting and financial services, after completing his Master’s degree in economics from Bocconi University in Milan. His areas of specialisation are energy economics, refining economics, and strategic asset allocation and performance management.
