Middle East Petroleum Club – VIP Programme: Mexico’s advance towards an enhanced open energy market
The panel discussed the different opportunities in oil and gas exploration and development in Mexico, where the government is focusing on promoting competition and transparency following the major energy reforms announced in 2012/13.

UAE Ministry of Energy Panel Sessions: Transforming energy suppliers & customers into 21st century partners?
C-suite Dialogues Session: Oil, gas and alternative energies – antagonism or peaceful co-existence?
The debate focused on whether oil and gas can peacefully co-exist or compete with alternative energies, with the panel’s verdict supporting the former – at least for the foreseeable future.

Middle East Petroleum Club – VIP Programme: The Middle Eastern heavy oil opportunity
The Middle East continues to explore and produce its heavy oil reserves with Oman being a global leader in the application of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) technology. The country built the Middle East’s first solar EOR, bridging in that way renewables with oil and gas. Other countries, such as Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are also paving the way in the region with investments and implementation of innovative technologies and strategies.

In addition, Dr Nakhle spoke at the ADIPEC Thought Leadership dinner co-organised by Pinsent Masons and FWB Park Brown on Tuesday 14 November.
