Access for Women in Energy Newsletter and Invitation – July 2016

In the July edition of Access for Women in Energy (AccessWIE) Newsletter, the oil and gas offshore engineering consultancy, INTECSEA, appoints first female president, while the Houston Business Journal expands Women in Energy Leadership Awards categories, adding two categories (Women to Watch and Innovators), in order to celebrate Houston’s top women in energy — those who have overcome challenges and demonstrated success.

Elsewhere, as the need to address climate change becomes more and more pressing, this year’s C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium and Awards conference highlighted ways in which women around the world are leading and changing the energy sector to sustainably meet global buy cipla accutane energy needs while substantially reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The event drew leaders from across the globe, among them U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz; U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall; Mary Nichols, chair of the California Air Resources Board; Joan MacNaughton, executive chair of the World Energy Trilemma for the World Energy Council; and Mechthild Wörsdörfer, director for Energy Policy at the European Commission.

The Windsor Energy Group (WEG), a sister organisation to AccessWIE, will be organising a post Brexit commonwealth energy dinner at the Australian ambassador’s residence, as well as a meeting on interconnectors and their development in September. For further information, please contact WEG at [email protected].
