In this special session organised by the Brussels Energy Club in association with Access for Women in Energy, Dr Carole Nakhle was the guest speaker covering “An energy transition for the Arab oil producers of the GCC — how real, how likely and can we get there?”. The event, which took place in Brussels, was attended by energy and chemical industry representatives, officials and embassies’ staff as well as media.

Many factors will impact upon the type of energy mix that we will see in GCC countries in years to come, including pricing, investment, demand side technologies as well as geopolitical factors.
