Covid-19 and business strategy: A collaboration with AspenTech

Crystol Energy, in collaboration with AspenTech – the world’s leading supplier of asset optimization software solutions – undertook an online survey of opinions among the oil and gas (throughout the supply chain: upstream, midstream and downstream) as well as chemical industry’s executives to understand their priorities, following the Covid-19 crisis.

The survey attempted to provide a comprehensive overview of the industry’s trends both in the short and longer term. It solicited views from companies primarily on the impact of the pandemic on investment decisions and strategy and what measures they have taken to alleviate the stress on their business, finance and people. The survey distinguished between temporary/cyclical measures and structural/permanent changes.

The findings of the survey were presented during a webinar, which took place on 8 December 2020.
