2021 Oil Market Outlook: Boom Or Bust?

Dr Carole Nakhle, CEO of Crystol Energy, discussed the fiscal and political stability of fragile petrostates post Covid-19, as well as the return of Iranian crude oil barrels to the markets after a potential revival of the nuclear deal following the change to the US Presidency.

The webinar was hosted by the prestigious Atlantic Council on 19-22 January 2021.

Dr Nakhle was joined by Toril Bosoni from the International Energy Agency (IEA), Dean Foreman from the American Petroleum Institute (API), Chris Midgley from S&P Global and Alex Booth from Kpler, who covered other key aspects including oil inventories, oil demand recovery and structural destruction, and OPEC+.

Robert Johnston from Eurasia Group chaired the discussion which was preceded by opening remarks from Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea.
