Dr Carole Nakhle, CEO of Crystol Energy, spoke at the 9th Gulf Intelligence Energy Markets Forum 2019 taking place in Fujairah, UAE on 1st October.
Dr Nakhle discussed the impact of geopolitics on oil markets. Her main point was that political tensions in the Middle East are not new but what has fundamentally changed are oil markets which have completely altered the implications of the region’s geopolitics on oil prices.

In a different session, Dr Nakhle led the energy transition dialogue. The discussion focused on the energy transition and the role of alternative fuels, such as Hydrogen, in an increasingly green energy and how the oil and gas as well as the shipping industries are preparing for the transition.
