Access for Women in Energy (AccessWIE), in partnership with the Windsor Energy Group and the Arab Bankers Association organised a joint event on the new oil market realities and their economic, as well as geopolitical impact on the Middle East. The event was kindly hosted by the Chamber of Commerce on 11th May 2015.
The discussion focused on the possible future scenarios for the oil market, the new geopolitical developments in the Middle East and what they mean for future investment in the energy sector, as well as the impact of the oil price decline on the economies and finances of major oil producers.
The seminar was introduced by Dr Gavin Graham, Member of the Advisory Board of Crystol Energy, and moderated by Dr Carole Nakhle, CEO of Crystol Energy and President of AccessWIE.
Speakers included Lord Howell of Guildford, Chairman of Crystol Energy Advisory Board and President of the UK Energy Industries Council, Dr Paul Horsnell, Head of Commodities Research at Standard Chartered Plc, and Mr Wim Thomas, Chief Energy Adviser for Shell International.
