Hanan is an energy professional expert. She has 20 years of experience in sales & marketing, business development, and communications.

Having joined the ABB Group in March 2004, Hanan has been working in the power automation unit for oil, gas, and petrochemicals. Throughout her career path, she has demonstrated strengths of leadership working across different functions in the areas of sales and marketing, business development, procurement, project execution, and communications. Hanan built a regional network of key contacts with major operators in the Middle East, Indian subcontinent, and Africa, with a focus on national companies like Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), TRANSCO, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO), Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) and China National Petroleum Company (CNPC), as well as customers like Petrofac, Shell, Total, ENI and BP.

In her last position in ABB, Hanan served as the regional marketing and communications manager for India, the Middle East, and Africa for the energy industries division, where she led as project manager for major global events like ADIPEC, Gastech, World Utilities Congress, and Abu Dhabi sustainability week (ADSW).

She has been a main speaker for Diversity and Inclusion panel (at Gastech 2021) and has also been the main campaign coordinator for ABB in initiatives like ICV (UAE), IKTVA (Saudi), Qatar (Tawteen), and Oman (ICV).  

 She obtained her bachelor’s degree in computer science from Ajman University of Science and Technology. Furthermore, she is a certified project manager by George Washington University. In 2019, Hanan was awarded a scholarship at Blavatnik School of Government-Oxford University to attend a program among the leaders of Oil, Gas, and Mining Governance. She is an active member of Access for Women in Energy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the role of female leaders in the energy industry.
