The ‘world energy’ context has changed fundamentally. We are no longer in an energy industry. We are in a gigantic energy transition process where entirely new sets of skills are required. These skills include a holistic and multi-tasking approach and a completely innovative state of mind – characteristics particularly associated with women. This is the new world in which Access for Women in Energy (AccessWIE) finds its ‘place and encourages you to join’.

AccessWIE is one of the oldest groups established to support the development of women in the energy industry, globally. The energy sector previously had a reputation for being male dominated – a notion that belongs in the past! AccessWIE is testament to the many talented women working across the whole industry, within fields ranging from expert engineering and finance to business development and executive responsibilities.

We establish a community of practice with an inclusive membership policy that welcomes anyone with a background or future in energy – male or female, whether you’re an expert, senior executive, middle manager or newly graduated.
