Yewande Abiose is a recognized leader in the energy sector with extensive experience spanning sustainability, strategic partnerships, and organizational growth. She is a Director and board member of Energy Institute Africa, where she supports strategy direction and initiatives across the region. Previously as Managing Director, she expanded the Institute’s footprint across the continent, launching Nigeria’s first annual Energy Sustainability Conference and advancing discussions on energy access and transition within the context of economic growth and social development.

In addition to her role as a board member, Yewande serves as the Head of Strategic Partnerships at Energy Institute UK. She leads global fundraising and business development efforts for key projects like the EI Statistical Review of World Energy and International Energy Week. She also oversees the Institute’s global communities, heading all the branches across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, ensuring their alignment with the Institute’s strategic goals, and fostering impactful regional engagement.

Yewande holds an MSC in Energy Economics and Policy from the University of Surrey, giving her a solid foundation in economic analysis and strategic planning within the energy sector. Earlier in her career, she held key roles at TotalEnergies and Deloitte, where she developed expertise in financial management, corporate governance, and operational optimization within the oil and gas Industry.

Yewande was named on the Power List of top 50 Pan-African Female Leaders in Energy by AOW 2024. She is also a founding member of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) and currently serves on the UK National Committee for WPC Energy.
