Crystol Energy Joins ITIC Workshop to Strengthen Libya’s Fiscal and Energy Governance

Crystol Energy was proud to play an active role in the International Tax Workshop for Libya, organised by the Washington-based International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC), with whom we have worked closely for many years.

Representing Crystol Energy, Global Advisor Christof Rühl delivered a keynote presentation on The Global Perspective, unpacking critical themes shaping today’s energy policy and fiscal landscape, including:

  • Economic Warfare
  • Energy Transition and Energy Security
  • Peak Oil (Anyone?)

Christof’s intervention helped frame the wider geopolitical and market context for the in-depth discussions that followed, reinforcing Crystol Energy’s commitment to advancing informed policy dialogue across the MENA energy sector.

These workshops – coordinated by ITIC since 2005 under the leadership of Dan Witt, President of ITIC and also a trusted Advisor to Crystol Energy – continue to serve as a vital platform for strengthening institutional capacity in Libya.

This year’s edition brought together key stakeholders from the Libyan Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Oil & Gas, and National Oil Corporation, with a focus on emerging global tax frameworks and evolving challenges in the oil and gas sector.

Crystol Energy remains committed to supporting such collaborative initiatives that bridge international expertise with local institutional development and governance.
