Dr Carole Nakhle, CEO of Crystol Energy, delivered the keynote presentation at IEEE PowerTalks 2025, a premier regional event focused on power systems innovation, energy transition, and grid resilience.
In her keynote presentation titled “Energy Security in the Age of Electricity,” Dr. Nakhle provided a comprehensive overview of global and regional energy trends, with a particular focus on the evolving nature of energy security in an increasingly electrified world.
Drawing on her personal experience growing up in Lebanon during the civil war, Dr. Nakhle underscored the real-life implications of unreliable electricity access. “It’s not just an inconvenience,” she remarked. “It’s a fundamental vulnerability – one that continues to affect millions of people today.”
