As part of its energy talk series, Access for Women in Energy (AccessWIE), in collaboration with the Windsor Energy Group (WEG), a sister organisation to AccessWIE, organised a roundtable discussion on the global energy investment trend and the impact of the US’s flagship Inflation Reduction Act on the sector.
Shearman & Sterling, a US law firm with decades of experience in global energy, hosted the event at their offices in the City of London on Feb 23, 2023.
The discussion focused on energy markets and investment trends in the light of the changing government policies and the ongoing energy crisis.
Joe McMonigle, Secretary General of the Riyadh-based International Energy Forum (IEF) and former Chief of Staff at the US Department of Energy, gave the opening speech.
Former British Energy Secretary Lord Howell, Chairman of AccessWIE and WEG, chaired the expert discussion.
