Dr Carole Nakhle, CEO of Crystol Energy, spoke on the impact of the US-China trade war on energy markets, oil prices and energy transition at the 4th Annual Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum that took place on 10-12 January 2020 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
According to Dr Nakhle, the impact includes reconfiguration of tradable fuels flow, but more importantly weakening global economic growth and in turn prices. Though shadowed by the latest geopolitical events in the Middle East, it remains a key factor shaping the energy scene this year.
