Ways Forward to Reshape Tunisia Energy Model Post Covid-19

Dr Carole Nakhle, CEO of Crystol Energy, spoke on Tunisia’s energy outlook post Covid-19 in a webinar organised by Tunisia Oil and Gas Summit on December 16, 2020.

Topics discussed included the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the energy sector, scenarios for energy supply and demand at a global level and within a Mediterranean context, current Tunisian energy context and governance, as well as recommendations for defining a sustainable pathway for Tunisia’s energy sector.

According to Dr Nakhle, Tunisians have a lot to be proud of, including their active civil society. Although the energy transition will not happen overnight, it can be surely successfully doable with the right institutional framework and the right balance between current and future needs.
