Crystol Energy’s CEO, Dr Carole Nakhle, is quoted in the National News article on how Egyptian gas exports have received a boost amid the gas crisis in Europe.
According to Dr Nakhle, if it wasn’t for the discovery of Zohr field, Egypt would have lost its status as net exporter as its domestic consumption outpaced its production.
In terms of gas reserves, production and exports, Egypt is not as big as Algeria or Qatar but it has many advantages, including a diversified export portfolio. It can strengthen its position if it gets more gas from its neighbours.
