Dr Carole Nakhle, CEO of Crystol Energy, is quoted in this Atalayar article following her participation in the Mediterranean Economic Leaders’ Week (MedaWeek) which took place between 16-18 November in Barcelona, Spain.
Dr Nakhle discussed the challenges of the global energy supply, highlighting that still 83% of the world’s energy comes from sources such as gas or oil. She further argued that the increase in energy prices came before the invasion of Ukraine, and was, therefore, related to economic decisions that were taken beforehand. Many of them were related to the supply crisis after the Covid-19 pandemic.
