Dr Carole Nakhle, CEO of Crystol Energy, spoke on the climate progress in the energy sector at the online event hosted by the Middle East Institute on 26th Oct 2022.
Dr Nakhle talked about the current climate status in the energy sector, stressing that it would be simplistic to narrow it only to what’s happening in the energy sector today as we need to understand that we are in a completely different territory from the one we were 2 years ago. She also discusses the impact of the delayed fossil fuel phase-out, the challenges of today’s energy transition, as well as how the current energy crisis has affected the public perception about the need and speed of the energy transition.
