Christof Rühl discusses global energy and economic developments in the weekly market commentary hosted by the Gulf Intelligence

Christof comments on energy markets, shale oil production, demand recovery and oil prices arguing that optimistic forecasts for 2021 may be “very wrong”. He also discusses the possibility OPEC+ considers amending production levels going into the fourth quarter.

Christof further talks about the impact of Covid-19 on employment, the targeted support provided by governments to manage this exceptional case of the global pandemic as well as the implications of the scenario that the stimulus packages fail to help economies recover fast enough.

Christof is joined by Mike Muller, Director – Oil Business Director & Head of Trading at Vitol Asia. Sean Evers, Managing Partner at Gulf Intelligence, moderates the discussion.
